Randy Adams was born and raised in Boyd. His family has been anchored here in Boyd since before the turn of the century around 1890, when his Great grandparents moved into the area. He attended Boyd Elementary and Boyd Middle Schools. He finished his public education at Diamond Hill-Jarvis in Fort Worth and graduated in 1980.
He joined the United States Army and served until 1996. He was in active Combat during the First Gulf War and ended his career at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin California. After some years of travelling the U.S., he chose to come home once again to Boyd. He resides here in town with his lovely wife Karen Schubert Adams, also a long-time member of the Boyd community. He has 10 children and numerous grandchildren.
He has been active in the City since 2001. In 2018 he was appointed as Director for the inaugural Boyd Municipal Development District, and also held office as Secretary for this board. He also served as a Committeeman on the newly established Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Boyd. In 2019 he was appointed by the City Council to Place 2 Councilman in direct reflection to his service for and to Boyd, these many years. He looks forward to the challenges to come and how he can become more dedicated to making Boyd better for the PEOPLE of Boyd.
